Our venue features a 760 sq. ft. butterfly conservatory, a "containment room" (where our butterflies are "born"), and an outdoor caterpillar habitat.

At the Butterfly Farm, you will learn about the life-cycle of butterflies and the importance of pollinators in our environment. You can spend time in our butterfly garden, enjoying the views of the North Georgia Mountains, rock and water features, gorgeous blossoming flowers, and native butterflies. We also let you "catch" a butterfly in our tropical conservatory!

Plus, we also have our very own shop, full of cute and useful goodies for all our butterfly and nature lovers.

Don't forget- we have a greenhouse full of plants for purchase. So you, too, can create your own little beautiful butterfly haven.

It's an unavoidably fun experience for all ages!

GENERAL ADMISSION

What can you expect to experience?

  • To be greeted with a smile as you enter our Welcome Center/Gift Shop. This area also hosts our containment room where you can see many species of butterflies before they emerge from their chrysalides. (And most times you can see them wiggling around or even expanding their wings as they break free!)

  • Out the side door of the shop leads you to our Butterfly Conservatory, where you can spend time in a climate-controlled, indoor habitat for our non-native plants and butterflies. ((This is where we release the butterflies after they've exited the pupa stage))

  • Then, after you've convinced your kids to finally move onward, you can sit in our outdoor greenhouse, which is filled with many various types of plants and flowers for you to purchase and create your own beautiful butterfly haven.

  • You can stroll around the grounds, enjoying the clear mountain air, or, you could go sit or stroll around our outdoor butterfly garden. This is where you can see many native plants and pollinators ((and even see the eggs of the caterpillars to come))!

Note: There is no specific time to arrive or leave, as long as you're there no earlier than 10am and no later than 4pm. Otherwise, enjoy your day to the fullest!
